About Ignition Garage

Ignition Garage is open to the public and the work is done by one of our qualified mechanics (see the team). Ignition is a Social Enterprise developed not only to give excellent car maintenance services to our customers but to support the local workless community.

We do this by using any profits made to support the training of the next generation of mechanics in Doncaster and the surrounding areas. Developed by a local Social Entrepreneur, Ignition was established to put something back into the struggling workless communities of Doncaster and South Yorkshire by providing opportunities to learn new skills within the industry while providing a quality service at affordable costs. When your car is serviced with Ignition you are in fact supporting us to train the young people of the borough develop their skills.

This puts you, the community in the forefront of building the local employment prospects of our young people and giving them a future to look forward to. They learn by watching the mechanic working on your car and they then put into practice what they learn on one of our donated vehicles. They get a learning experience, work experience in a real working environment, something for their CV and a reference and you get your car serviced at a reasonable price and the knowledge that you have been part of their future success.
