About Brownhills Community Association

Brownhills Community Association is to aspire to be a self-supporting enterprise providing a range of services for the local area. We will work with partners to provide support, education, recreation and leisure facilities for the general community. 

We are located opposite the Brownhills Miner, we have a cafe and other resources if you wish to pop in to say hello.

Facilities and Room Hire

The Activity Centre has a variety of rooms to suit most requirements. Free Wi-Fi throughout the centre plus whiteboard and overhead projector. The Activity Centre provides safe secure parking; CCTV is in operation at all times. Facilities for the disabled. For all events we can provide simple refreshments or sandwich buffets, or you could go for the full menu, we will also cater for special dietary requirements.

Canoeing

Since May 2014, Royal Sutton Coldfield Canoe Club has been operating the Canoe Centre in partnership with the Brownhills Community Association.

Should anyone like to come canoeing with them at the centre they will be available on Saturdays 2pm - 4pm (all year round) and also during the summer from April until the end of September on Wednesdays 6pm - 8pm. Groups can be accommodated at any time during the weekdays or weekends.

Little Green Dragons Nursery

We are a 76 place Day Nursery with a friendly, stimulating and fun environment.

Our Nursery provides day care for children from 0-5 years. The children are cared for in three separate age groups. This enables us to tailor activities and rooms specifically for their needs.

Our Nursery provides a warm, caring, safe and stimulating environment for all of the children in our care. To enable children develop independently with confidence and self-esteem working within the Early Years Foundation Stage programme.

We adhere to best policies and procedures; regularly reviewing and updating these in accordance with current legislation; the requirement of OFSTED; who currently rate us as GOOD and OUTSTANDING in some areas with the Government's Early Years Foundation Stage programme.
