Yang Sing Restaurant is a Manchester institution!

Situated in Manchester’s Chinatown, Yang Sing has been serving exquisite Cantonese cuisine for over 30 years.

The restaurant is proud to be a part of Manchester and honoured to support the city’s incredible Hallé Orchestra, as well as regularly supporting local charities.

The legend goes from strength to strength – offering market fresh, innovative, gourmet food for your enjoyment. Harry Yeung, Director and Executive Chef, still insists on immediate control of the buying of all the restaurant’s ingredients. His recognition of quality produce and negotiation skills are second to none!

In 1983, Yang Sing was the first ‘ethnic’ restaurant to be awarded the Pestle & Mortar (the highest accolade accorded to the Good Food Guide), which effectively declared that the restaurant served the best food in the UK!

Over the years Yang Sing has been proud to receive a variety of awards, but none more valued than to be voted Tsing Tao’s Legacy of Taste Restaurant for 2008. This award is extra special because the votes come from the restaurant’s own customers. Yang Sing was also pleased to be voted Regional Winner for 2009 and 2011. They were pipped at the post to become the Legacy of Taste national winner in 2011 by the Kai Mayfair in London. Since they are a Michelin star restaurant and Yang Sing was only beaten by one point, they will no doubt take that as a compliment! This year, Harry Yeung is honoured to have been chosen as a guest judge for the competition.

The Yang Sing welcomes customers for every occasion, providing two floors of restaurant space as well as banqueting facilities for private dining - anything from an intimate dinner for two to a charity dinner for 200; from family get-togethers to corporate entertainment. The extensive menu offers a choice of over two hundred mouth-watering main course dishes and sixty delicious dim sum.

The staff will be happy to put together a ‘designer banquet menu’ especially for your party, tailor made to suit your tastes and including all of your favourite dishes, as well as some of your fantasies!

You can also enjoy the taste of Yang Sing whilst at the Trafford Centre. Yang Sing Cathay, on the Upper Mall and Yang Sing Xpression, on the Lower Mall are in the capable and adept hands of the charismatic Gerry Yeung.
