In response to the needs of our clients, Thomasons has also extended its role as civil & structural engineers to include that of building surveyor and CDM co-ordinator within an ISO 9001 quality assured service.
Thomasons undertakes a wide variety of work, ranging from major new build schemes through to complex renovation and restoration projects across all the market sectors in which we operate. Members of the firm are also involved in providing engineering and surveying advice for dispute resolution, insurance claims and in providing specialist advice on numerous technical matters.
Despite its growth Thomasons still retains a very personal approach with senior members of the firm being involved at all stages of a project.
Thomasons is a member of the Association of Consulting Engineers (ACE) and is also Constructionline and CHAS accredited.
Structural engineering
Structural engineering forms the core of our practice, with highly qualified and experienced engineering professionals across the country. Members of the firm play an active role in the IStructE and other industry bodies and are frequently called upon for their expert advice on complex structural issues.
Civil engineering
As a multidisciplinary firm, Thomasons has all the skills required to allow us to design and tender projects, issue and manage contracts and deliver the results. Our civil engineering specialists are experienced in all aspects of highways and traffic planning, sustainable drainage solutions, flood risk assessment, project management and contract administration.
Building surveying
Thomasons extended its range of construction related services some 20 years ago to include building surveying. The combination of surveying with structural engineering and other professional disciplines in the same firm often has many advantages to the client, including ready access to expertise, efficiency, economy and understanding.
Health & safety
In response to the introduction of the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations by the H.S.E., Thomasons formed Thomasons Health & Safety to deal specifically with construction health & safety issues that will arise as a result of construction projects. Our pragmatic approach to occupational health & safety risk management has enabled us to develop sensible, cost effective solutions for our clients whilst maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and statutory compliance. |
